Transmentix is a company that develops diagnostics for the detection of mental illnesses from blood samples. Based in Szeged (Hungary) it combines the advantage of cheap labour costs with the infrastructure of a centre of excellence in biotechnology. Transmentix is a for profit company that aims at maximising its shareholder value in a sustainable, responsible way.

Transmentix is building a technology platform on an expertise of gene expression (transcriptomics) of blood samples. It will use this knowledge for mental healthcare pharmacogenomics, with as first product a diagnostic test for schizophrenia.
